School’s Out Forever! 2023 [35 Players]
Austin’s roasting and School’s Out! 35 players spent their summers with us for 6 rounds of Middle School. This time around, Top 8 prizes were generously donated by Andrew Webb.
From our vantage point, there were two big stories of the league. First was a surge of graveyard decks: Survival, Zombie Infestation, Hermit Druid, and Replenish represented nearly a third of the field. And second was Red: Rajah James finished first in the Swiss on a very novel Burn deck, while Rob Connolly won the whole thing on a creative Ponza Sligh build! So next time, make sure to register your CoP Reds and Phyrexian Furnaces.
Our attention’s been on The Hurricane in Houston next weekend, so we haven’t picked a date for the next league. Most likely we’ll be seeing you back for the Fall Semester in September. Until then, stay cool and hydrated, y’all.
